Ella's Birthday week

What a difference 5 years makes!

Ella Grace turned 5! We celebrated for an entire week with Aunt Rachel and cousin Lianne coming to visit from the Bronx. The festivities started the day after they arrived on Sunday morning the 11th at 11am in the McDonalds playland. Ella had 15 of her closest buddies on hand to enjoy happy meals, cake, ice cream, and lots of running around!

On Tuesday the 13th (her actual birthday) we all went to Ella's classroom to have a cupcake celebration with her classmates and teachers, Ms. Diane and Ms. Angie. Maya LOVES going to visit Ella's classroom and can not wait until she too gets to be a student of Ms. Diane and Angie. (Next year) When we left school we went to the Cracker Barrel for birthday lunch where they sang happy birthday to Ella.

That evening we took the beautiful birthday cake that Ella made for herself with Lianne and Rachel to Auntie Bronwyns house where she whipped up a wonderful birthday meal and a birthday cookie!

The following day all of the girls went to Puzzels fun dome to have a bit of birthday fun running around. Ella got a complementarty slushie, princess tiara and wand. They were nice enough to give some to baby sissy too!

On Friday the day before Rachel and Lianne were leaving Ella had her Christmas party at school. Before the party started the class did a couple of dances to the Cha Cha slide and the Macarena aka The Burrito (according to Ella) Was very cute!

We had a lot of fun while our family was in town celebrating the gift of Ella. The adults liked to try and watch movies in the evenings after the girls went down for the night. One of the pictures shows our little night owl, Maya anxiously waiting to come back into the living room after our movie was over, but she pooped out waiting! She was so cute with Ella's new birthday bag strapped over her shoulder and her feet ready to go. I had to get a picture.

Best Breakfast EVER!!

All of us ( minus EG ) were sleeping in our bed when I heard chairs scooting around in the kitchen. Eventually I made my way out to see what was going on, to find our big 5 year old Ella Grace putting on the finishing touches  of making her daddy and I breakfast! Yup, she managed to pour a gallon jug of milk. Daddy got a tall glass filled to the brim of milk and mommy got a juice glass filled to the brim. She did not spill a drop.

She made us each a peanut butter and honey sammy with a bananna on the side. Ella said that we needed to drink milk instead of coffee because she wants us to have strong bones.

She then proceeded to make herself and her sissy breakfast as well, Maya got rice krispies in a cup sans milk with a spoon and a golden delicious apple (mommy sliced it) but Ella fetched and washed it.

She got out our huge cannister (sams club) of Nesquick chocolate powder and made herself a glass of chocolate milk and a bowl of cookie crisp cereal with milk!

My baby has done growed up! Daddy and I are sooooooooo proud of her!! She won't be able to use the 'I can't' excuse ever again, because she did such an awesome job at showing her thoughtfulness and maturity today, I know that in all things SHE CAN!!
