Thanksgiving day

What a great day!

Daddy got up at the crack of dawn to make the big meal, while all of the Williamson women slept soundly, awaking to the sounds of clinking pots and pans. Mommy was crabby until she got her morning joe, and then she got into the spirit and started to clean the house and put away all of the fall decor so that we could get ready to put up all of the Christmas stuff.

Mommy and the girls played and played until dinner was ready around 1pm. The girls did not care too much for thanksgiving fare, so they had the usual everyday stuff, while mommy and daddy enjoyed turkey, grandma Odella's stuffing, greens, cranberries, yams and rolls. It all turned out really well. Yeah Daddy! What a good cook he is.

It is a cold wet day, good for napping, so after dinner the girls took a 3 hour nap while mommy and daddy watched a documentary on angels (mommy's idea) daddy called Aunt Rachel, and then daddy watched the movie "Angels & Demons" while mommy piddled around the house.

Then the girls got up we all had pumpkin pie, (Maya LOVES it ) Ella fed Maya.
Now the girls are playing Wii games with Daddy while mommy updates the blog.

The final activity of the day was watching Charlie Brown Thanksgiving as a family.

A perfectly relaxing holiday. Did I mention that we stayed in our pjs all day?

Happy Halloween!

We had a low key Halloween this year. The Hill family, Johnny, Trinia, Raegan (5) Jonathen (3) came over for pizza and trick or treating. Baby Maya has not been feeling well and wasn't really up to all of the festivities. We did not get too many good photos of the kids all decked out. There is always next year! Ella was a magical fairy princess, and Maya was a chicken.

Ella had a great time baking and frosting cookies for the festivities. Ella was in charge of the black cats. Mommy found out that making black icing is not that easy, so a new color on the color wheel was created "mange". So Ella made mangy cats that look like they have been rolling in their poop. What could be scarier than that? haha :)
