Happy Halloween 2008!

We hope everyone had a fun time trick or treating. We had a late night but it was fun.
Maya turned 4 months old yesterday on the 31st. She is getting so big! Holds her head up and can almost roll over.
13 lbs and 23.5 inches long. Ella and I took her for her 4 month old Dr. appt a couple days ago. All went well, except for the shots :(
Ella has started going to a playgroup a few times a week and just loves it.
She is going to be our little social director, LOVES meeting people, especially those her size. She was so enthralled by the other trick or treaters and having to stop for a meet and greet each time we passed someone it took us a bit longer. :)
Ella is also a comic, loves to make us laugh and she is so random. We have no idea where she comes up with her bizarre antics but she sure is funny, if you have not met her or seen her in a while, you need to stop by. She"ll get you right out of a bad mood. I promise, you will forget whatever ails ya, at least for the time you are in her presence.
Ella very much has a mind of her own, as you can see by the photo of her under the carriage. I was calling her to come into the house after playtime, because I needed to tend to a fussy Maya. After a while of Ella NOT cooperating I had to go and at least set Maya down so I had free hands to deal with Ella.
Ella's new thing is hiding. I guess she figured I couldn't find her under there.
Blessings for a lovely fall

OBAMA ~ BIDEN 08!
What a great time to be born!
Our family just finished watching the conclusion of the DNC with B.O's fantastic speech. We are thrilled for our girls and the futures that they will have. We have a very real chance at the first African American president.
Scott commented that when he was born African Americans could not have lunch at Woolworth's lunch counter, and now in the year of Maya's birth an African American WILL hold the most powerful position in the world.
Maya had her 2 month check up yesterday and she is up to 10 lbs and 22 inches! She is amazing! Such a good baby.
Ella is Ella, in all her glory. She is doing great and is very helpful with her little sister.
We are gearing up for "Hotel Williamson".
Tomorrow Scott's sister Rachel comes in from the Bronx to meet her new niece/god daughter, and when she leaves next week, cousin Jeff/god father from Denver and Aunt Barb from Lincoln rolls in for a peek at the baby.
For a peek at the newest photos scroll to the very bottom of the blog.

Maya will be 2 months in 3 days!

Here are a few new photos to see what the girls have been up to.Ella is adapting so well to becoming a big sister she has gotten the nickname "lil momma". From the hands on her hips to her absolute care and attention to her baby sister she affectionately calls "ma". If the baby even makes a peep big sister Ella is on the scene. She loves to help "pat and burp the baby" ( a line from one of her children's books) although we need to remind her how to do so "gently, Ella".
The first photos the girls have matching shirts. One says 'I am the big sister' and has Ella on the bottom, the other says 'I am the baby sister' with Maya on it.
Ella's new thing is her fort that her and her daddy built and has taken permanent residence as for now. They have a ball in there. Snacks, flashlights, juice, books and her daddy all to herself in the private fortress. Cool huh?
Ella shows off her pretty party dress that my girlfriend Susie Kindler sent for her. We all love it. Ella looked so pretty for the LPTS ice cream social. Although as you can tell Maya was not feeling photo time. If there is no boob involved she is not having it! Haha.
And finally GO BIG RED!!!
Football season is upon us and there is no way to go but up for the Huskers!!
Who says you have to live or be born in NE to be a fan! We are breeding them right here in KY!
